DJI Mavic

DJI announced their new drone yesterday, the Mavic. I previously owned a DJI FC40 and then a Yuneec Q500 Typhoon and sold the Typhoon earlier this year waiting for something smaller and more features.
Gopro announced their first drone the Karma which I was very tempted to buy, but DJI have blown them out of the water with the Mavic.
I have pre-ordered the Mavic with the extra bundle and hope I get it close to launch date as possible.

Looks awesome but the price tag certainly reflects that :-0

I had a quick glance on the DJI site and it looked like the current model 4 and the Mavic were similarly priced, although both at around a grand.

A friend of mine has one of the DJI, maybe the gen 3 and it was awesome to use but the biggest issue (aside from price) was the insanely big case it came with, this would certainly ad more gravitas to a purchase from me. But, the xiaomi drone has legs which fold under itself so it can be stored reasonably compactly.
