WTF - Strangest MOT anybody could ever have......... EVER

Took a car for its MOT today. First MOT I have put it through as only had it about 9 months ish.

Mechanic doing MOT is a friend. Tells me to come over after about fifteen minutes and points out a concealed package in the engine compartment. We carefully extract it (about the size of a fag packet) and find it is full of white powder. WTF.

We decide to completely explore the engine bay and find a second hidden package identical to the first.

My friend who has a distant history with the bill tells me he aint seen nothing, gives me a pass and tells me to fuck off.

Initially I thought it was a wind up but it deffo aint. 100% not baking powder.

What the fucking fuck. In a way it worked in my favour as I knew I had a hole in the exhaust.

Its one of those thing where I really want to know the story behind how it got there but know I never will.

And from now on you will be pulled over when driving late at night - was probably used as a "delivery" car and may be on the police watch list. That's pretty large amounts of illegal substance to be hidden in the engine bay and would be worth substantial money if they are packed full. I'd thoroughly check the car out everywhere - all the nooks and crannies, behind any removable panels, make sure you give it a good valet once done to reduce the traces of said substances. Cover your back mate.

The thing that fucked me off the most is what if I had driven to France in it. I would have been fucked.

wow strange stuff indeed, found some similar stuff in consoles over the years (the PS2 HDD space was a favourite of most people) but thats a lot to find in a car

Maybe you should check the spare to see that there's actually air inside it...

The Mrs did her nut so has demanded I completely strip the car and search the lot. The spare tyre bay has crossed my mind.

But if you do have a look, how far are you going to go to be sure, more could be hidden pretty much anywhere? (e.g. remove/refit dashboard often is a real pita job, normally you will need to remove dashboard to remove the heater box and there could be loads stuck in there).

yeah i would be tempted to strip it down and check thoroughly, inside of spare tyre etc.
I know on my Subaru you can easily lift out the cover on the gear stick and have easy access to a nice large hiding spot

Fortunately got a friend who has a telescopic bendy camera thing that you sync to your iPhone or Android device.. I suppose a sort of endoscope. Gonna use that to avoid as little removal of bits as possible.
