Default Dolphin sensor bar / Lightgun

Does anyone have any experience using the dolphin sensor bar or any other lightgun with Mame? I'd love to be able to play Point Blank and Time Crisis again and was thinking of putting something together using a Raspberry Pi but I've not been able to find anything concrete as to how this could be done. It certainly seems feasible in theory and would work with Mame and a PC but I want something a bit more dedicated. Any ideas?

    Hi,

I built my Mame cabinet donkey years ago (and long since sold) - but I used the EMS Top Gun which used 2 sensor bars IIRC (they have likely improved since this). It was a faff to originally calibrate but it worked well enough.

    Thanks to tips

I don't mind paying a bit extra but was wondering whether it would work with a Raspberry Pi?

I might just bite the bullet with the dolphin sensor and try it through my laptop, see how that goes. I've had a good look around and I can't find anything conclusive that you can get a lightgun to work on a Raspberry Pi.
