Is DF Slowly Dying?

Haha but he was, at least in His capacity as a moderator. On a personal level he probably thought it was my own fucking fault but it was an idiot using DF to defraud people so I think it was genuine. It was like the wild west in those days so i appreciated some one not rubbing salt in the wounds. I don't know him but with hindsight I think a lot of the stuff he has said and done on here is part of a persona.

If I might add my two cents....

As many others have said, forums are dying. The likes of Twitter, Instagram and BookFace have taken over and people get their news and discuss things via them platforms.

When I joined DF 13 odd years ago the world was a different place.
The smart phone wasn't a thing, people didn't have instant access to the internet and had to actually open a laptop to use the interweb which meant they spent time surfing the net, not just having quick look while taking a shit.

DF has changed too. I remember a thread about 5 years ago asking why and no one really knew why.

I'll always come back and check DF out once a week or so, but I hardly ever post anymore. And that's because I don't really have anything to contribute here that hasn't been said here or elsewhere.

For me the best thing is you come across the occasional post where you see a historical banned user. For some strange reason I have the urge to start reading back over what led up to said banning. Often it is pure class reading some of these.
