    Default Raspberry Pi projects

Following on from Maltloafs arcade cabinet and EvilBoBs post in here about fitting a Pi in a car, has anyone got any decent projects we can all do with our Pi's?

I've literally loaded mine with retro pie but would love to use it more.

IP based home automation is the ideal thing for the Pi in my opinion. From CCTV setups to lighting solutions. I know there are smaller solutions out there but the Pi 3 should be powerful enough to be the heart and soul of any HA.

I also used to have mine as my bitcoin mining setup

Can you make money with the bitcoin route? HA seems like a great idea, I don't plan to stay in current place long so will probably do that when i move.

Bitcoin mining is immensely resource hungry. With RPI's you would spend more in electricity than what you would ever 'mine'.

High end graphic cards are what you need for that and the RPI will not cut it.
