Default Any decent deals on desktop pc? (£600 - £900 budget)

I am after a new pc as mine has now died

I do a bit of gaming and movie encoding and my budget is as per title.

Any decent offers on at the minute to get the most for my cash?!

    I have seen:

    https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk-forcebox-express-intel-core-i5-6400-gtx-960-4gb-windows-10-fs-17i-ep.html

    http://www.ebuyer.com/754096-pc-specialist-vanquish-vitrum-gaming-pc-pcs-d989406

    http://www.ebuyer.com/749221-pc-specialist-vanquish-impact-iii-gaming-pc-pcs-d966682

No self-build and require a fitted CD/DVD drive.

Also, if i get a system with no OS, i have seen keys for £10 - how do i use a key to install a new OS (or can i not and need the CD/DVD?)

    Ta!

You can create a USB install media for the OS and enter the key during install

do a self build you will save hundreds, ive a pc same spec as this http://www.meshcomputers.com/Default...CT&KEY=1258716 except my GPU is a GXT960 built 18mths ago and still runs like a dream £700 to build.
It's really not hard to build your own pc and the lads here can spec up parts with urls to each bit.

    Thanks to consoles

I struggle to change a light bulb. I'd rather get a prebuilt and then any issues i have the warranty and the fact it wasn't my cold dead hands that fecked with anything.

I think when it comes to self-builds, the cheaper end of the market (£299-£499) tend to have a very tight margin. The savings for self-builds really come into play when you are talking about gaming rigs of upwards of £750+.

When I was younger, I would build systems for me/family/friends or for profit no probs. These days I honestly can't be arsed. My current one is self-built but my next will be bought as is with probably a seperate GFX card added.

    Thanks to crazyal

The Vanquish Impact III looks good value for your money. If you sourced all the parts I don't think there would be much change from a grand. The warranty would worry me. You only get 1 year parts. So if you had problems with the graphics card (worth £550+) after a year you would have to bare the cost of a replacement -most graphics cards are usually sold with a 2 year warranty.

    Thanks to pattikins

Also, for my lad, i have seen this:

If you look again you can "advanced customize" their PC's as they are all built to order.
If the website doesnt have the option contact them as I have in the past and they will do pretty much everything.

DVD & 5.1 will probably only add just over £50 to that price imho

Edit: It already has inbuilt 5.1/7.1 sound so will be even cheaper.

    Thanks to piggzy

If it was a choice between Mesh & CCL, I'd go with the latter. Plus they offer a 3 year parts/labour warranty. https://www.cclonline.com/pc/gaming-...02030201000001

Scans 3XS Custom builds with professional overclock are worth a look too.

You can customise to what you want power and look wise also.

The biggest problem with this article is that there's no actual content. It's just a heading, a picture, and a comments section.
