Default $ky and their dodgy tactics

Just had a message off the missus...

Basically I have BT Infinity (top end package) which I pay for and she pays for the sky. She phoned Sky to get one of the new Sky Q boxes as they started pushing them as standard only a few weeks after we got SkyHD installed (Q was available for a hefty charge at that point).

Anyway, long story short they are taking the pi$$. First they said that SkyQ only works with Sky Broadband - something that's not been true since April this year. Then they still push to get us to take Sky Broadband anyway despite me only starting my BT contract 2 months ago. The package they are offering... 1x SkyQ box (basic channels sky, mtv etc), phone and fibre max broadband for £72.15 a month!

Tried to explain to her that we pay £20-ish a month for the Sky package now (with Multiroom) and £50-ish for BT broadband that I've always been happy with but still she pushes. So it would be the same price with one less box and of course they are trying to say that they can move the broadband over without any charges... maybe from their end but BT will still charge for the disconnection (Around £850 at this point in the contract I think).

Arghhh! I hope she doesn't just go ahead with it! No WAY am I paying for two lots of broadband!

Sounds like someone needs to put their foot down

Sky may well buy you out of your BT contract but I wouldn't want Sky controlling all my utilities.

I wouldn't want Sky as my BB provider anyway. Hate Sky - wouldn't even bother with it for TV if I wasn't with the missus. Lived without it for almost 10 years!

Give her a kick in the ovaries. That will sort her out.
