I use Nzb's on and off, will they be able to see what I am doing even with SSL encryption? I have a BT homehub 5A. How do I set up a VPN? I Use Astraweb for SabNzb

I use an Android box now and then but the Wookie build is useless for live sports.
Also use my Xbox one through the router. Had issues with the NAT setting on a few games on my old router but seems to be fine now

    Any help appreciated

Does anyone have any experience with ipvanish, need to upgrade my vpn and I've seen they're the same price as pia this weekend. It's supposed to be faster than pia but doesn't cut of if the vpn drops off like pia does.

You will probably find sports will improve with a VPN, for example firstrowsports.eu is blocked by most, if not all, UK ISPs. Route traffic via Netherlands and voila it is accessible. In your case you may opt to get a decent cable router which is compatible with OpenWRT/DD-WRT, flash that FW on, connect the WAN port to your HH, connect to a VPN account and then connect your devices to that can always leave your HH wireless on to connect to if you needed a UK connection for geo-locked content etc or you could turn it off. I doubt your android box can connect to a VPN itself otherwise you could have installed a VPN client on there and your downloading machine.

I got an ipvanish sub before I went out to china a couple of months ago. It's OK but I find the Android app keeps crashing especially if I leave it running overnight while I'm asleep.

Sometimes get a slow connection but usually changing servers and/or countries sorts it out. Definitely slows the connection speeds down noticeably even when I use it at home.

I use the OpenVPN PIA profiles on my travel router, I think OpenVPN is the best/easiest type to use.

I used Netherlands as the latency was low and they are pretty liberal.

Anyone any experience of TP Link. Looking at : http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/d..._TD-W9980.html

At £50 it weighs in at £20 cheaper than the ASUS alternative / same spec etc

    Supports dd wrt too

TP-Link is decent, they essentially clone Netgear/Asus kit (and even rip off the model names sometimes) in the sense they make theirs look the same with similar specs. I have used a load of their stuff and been happy so just check it has the spec you want.

Thanks although reading a few reviews it would appear the TP Link has poor signal strength. So might just stick with the Asus I had in mind. https://www.asus.com/UK/Networking/RTN66U/

Has that got a fast enough processor? I can't see the spec.

So after some research, these two Routers seem to be the best/favourite:

    - ASUS RT-AC68U AC1900
    - NETGEAR R7000-100UKS Nighthawk - Has two faster CPU's, an extra 400Mhz
