around £15 -£35 for third party unlock depending on network, so id say cheaper for network to unlock it (possibly free) or find one on network you want / simfree
update think it can also be brute force unlock depending on software version but still around £13-14
Hi Mickey, can I ask why you chose a Nokia Lumia? I'm looking to get a phone for the mrs this Christmas as she has never really enjoyed her iPhone 3GS and hates the piss poor camera on it. I am considering a Lumia or a HTC One, and maybe an S3/4.

Call me a Nokia fanboy or somthing. Always had em, tried iphone and an andriod but NAH. each to their own
I have a 610 and maybe not the newest thing on the block but it simply works.
it rings you pickup easily
You get a txt you TXT back easily
You get lost. You turn surferdude on and he gets you home easily
Camera is a joy to use
Windows 7 phone and all the apps you need for free and some pay
Fast and not needed to root or fck about with it. it just works
Tethers very easily with upto 5 users can share your tinternet from the phone on theirs
battery lasts forever unless you use the internet or game/satnav, but then still good
Only drawback is having to use Zune to move stuff around from phone to pc. But once mastered its easy peasy
I would love a 720 but 2nd hand they are going for £120+ on fleabay
Cheers for that. Looking at the models available the 1020 and 1520 look iPhone beaters. I'd be interested myself if they did a mixture of those 2 which had the speed and memory slot of the 1520, but a smaller screen and the camera of the 1020. Will look into a contract for the 1020, which I have never had. Payg all the way!
