In particular a Storm Hexa...?

I know a little about DTG in general, not much about the Kornits in particular, don't know if I can help?
I have a friend who's trying to get the ink from elsewhere, the ink is like £250 a bottle! Don't seem to be able to do it. Machine has RFID chip on the bottles too.
To the best of by knowledge there isn't a third party replacement for the Kornit inks. Most of the third party inks available are for printers that use epson printheads probably because they've been widely researched for normal compatible ink manufacture.
Just did a search on a chip resetter for kornits and came across https://www.ebay.com/itm/14287971591...m=142879715911 might be worth asking the seller if there is one for the Hexa and if they have any knowledge of inks.
My friend just informed me that the reader there exists because of him, that's his guy or something.

Recently had an offer I couldnt refuse on an Epson 7890 wide format.
Went through the same process as it takes 9 carts and they are £150 each (for the ml's I was using)
Found a company that are brilliant and brought costs down to £30 for the same amount of ink.
They dont list Kornit on their site but the CS is the best I have experienced and being a family run business they might be worth talking to, to point you in the right direction. Could help me enough on the phone and sent me bits for free to help me fix a cock up. Will deffo continue using them. Also their inks are lab certified archhival for 90 years min etc
