hi
is it a code download loop or is it just the normal bootup codes like LD30:ld40:ap52 etc...
if its a code download then the display will show a counter which counts up/down cant remember 1 number at a time.
The box might need the card redone if its the bootcode loading this also happens when peeps dont pay the bill any they get cut off..the box will often just gointo a reboot loop especially SA boxes
if its a code download that its stuck on then double check your fittings/connections if there is any data error in the download it will cause it to start again.
hope that helps
hi guys thanks for the advise, its the code download starts with a couple of f** then changes to h**** just keeps going up till about 9000 then starts again, its been fine uuptill now, ive taken the mosc out but ill put it back in, my other card is working and this was a simular image.
if i push the standby button after a few seconds it starts to boot till i think its ld53 then goes back to the download loop.
your box is fecked m8
sorry i dont have a fix for this issue, got a m8 in VM seen this on new installs they gotta swap it out everytime
damm thats annoying as i had taped the bayern munchen match last sunday and wanted to watch it tonight while there was no other footie on lol
looks like ill have a heavy bin bag for the bin men next week lol
just to confirm it is same issue..when it counts up is it doing it in multiples of 8 like h192,h200,h208,h216 etc... numbers might not match what i got here its just an example
if its similar to above then sorry it is the fault as described to me by my VM m8 and has no fix
not even sure what those codes are actually doing
furrry
yes sounds like what you describe not sure of the multiples maybe 9. its been 2 days now so i guess a couple more hrs then its binbag time.
thanks for the replies guys i appreciate it.
hi, can any chips be swopped as my friend has offered me a donour box for spares if thers anything that can be done, or is there any chips from my box that i could swop to the donour box to get that 1 working its a good box but the cards missing form it?
I sure i read somewere that the chip in question is protected by some nasty gunk that almost impossible to remove without damaging chip or solder points
come to think of it i also remember that you can swap the hard drive in them might be worth looking into this b4 u bin it m8
yep that suffs like concrete i just kept the HDD and snuck the rest in the landfill bin lol, hope those bin men dont spot it. thanks for the help guys i appreciate it.
it's cause the box was not from your area,i had a box from ex c&w over in Belfast, when new software came out it would do the 'H' code loop....sent it to a mate in c&w/telewest and it updated, ment setting net id everytime so not worth it really considering postage etc
