Whats the response time? Im guessing its gonna be poor. I have a pico projector which although clever is useless for games.

sounds pretty shit reading the blurb, love to see one in action
1. For better Quality picture, please use it in Dark.
2. For best Quality, please use projector screen.
3. This Mini Portable Projector support HDMI input 1920 * 1080 Resolution, but the native output resolution is 320 * 240. It only suitable for Dark place, personal entertainment cinema, not suitable for business, teaching and Presentation PPT documents, where strong light during the day. Hope for your kindly understanding
The output is only 320*240 resolution, ebay is flooded with these, they say 1080P in the listing title because they can take a 1080p signal input but then it only outputs it at 240p, can't imagine it will look very nice, probably all pixelly and blurry!
at work i have seen an epson projector in action forget what model but the rep said that one was best for gaming.
although the panasonic ptae6000 i no is used in a racing simulator
I had an old Compaq projector that I used on the 360. Did 720p and you could pick them up for sod all money on fleabay. Pretty sure it was one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HP-Compaq-...item3cef934f2b
Bought a screen for about £100 - gave a nice 84" display. Had to use the VGA cable as it didn't have HDMI but it worked a treat. Racing games were sweeet on it and considering the price you could do a lot worse than look for that sort of setup as an option imo.

Thanks all.
Seen a few projectors but they are in the £££ range and just for the odd game or two its not worth that money.

I think its the screen that most people forget about. You cant really project onto a wall. The best screens have crystal type bits in them. They make the lumens a bit brighter and really make a difference. If you had a few hundred quid its worth a punt for the odd game and movie imo. I'd love to get a short throw projector and have a 100"+ screen but I have three screens over 42" in the house so cant justify it to the missus lol.

Cheapo projectors aint worth the money, all about the lumens and response time, Pay for what you get on these, no shortcuts i'm afraid.
Could look at a decent 2nd hand but don't know how long the bulb will last.
I bought an NEC one which is pretty good 2nd hand for £200 but got that model as was the same as the one at work so always got a spare bulb handy if needed ;-)
Hey,
I have one of the projectors from the first post. I bought it to play old consoles on (SNES/MD etc).
It will take a HD signal but you will not get a HD image. You have to use it in the dark as recommended and it is noisy. It can also stop working when it gets hot..
It is a bit of fun for sure. However I am now buying a 'proper' projector for HD/3D stuff.
If you have £30 burning a hole in your pocket then go for it, but it will not suffice your needs long term.
I have literally just bought this for £399 in Amazon's Lightening deal. Yes it is 10x more expensive but it is going to be more than 10x better:

You might have to go via the Today's Deals link to see it at £399 (valid for next few hours).
