You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

dont think the captain has ever set foot in the engine room in the 4 years ive worked onboard to be honest, and the chief engineer doesnt mind so all good!
In the original hobbit house design, the window was designed to be non-opening and due to the design was going to be difficult to make it an opening window, however after many requests/demands/moans by the wife, I modified it and came up with a design for a working porthole :-)
MHP (3rd September 2017)
Too difficult to have a working window come on Goose that's a piss poor excuse even for you no wonder the missus was moaning ;-)
CallmeGoose (4th September 2017)
the reason it was going to be difficult was that it would have required a frame surround (like the door), because of the space taken up by the letterbox below and the door to the left, this wouldnt have left a lot of room and would have looked too cluttered... so i came up with this...
my reasoning was that the door is right next to the window and the door can be opened, and its a pretty large door, so why should the window need to open too... needless to say i gave into the nagging in the end
Yeah need a fricken window hehe ;-)
but looks really good mate

its annoying me now as the window is sitting here, ready to be assembled and painted and put on the front, but im still on the ship and got a week to bloody go until im home! cant sit still for a minute. need to make something else.....

Does the window fully fold back on itself when open?
If so the door can't open or close if the window is open?
If the door is open and the window is open, is there a risk of your little one running into the window as it will partly block the door?
In fact, that huge wingnut looks to be at perfect "eye gouge, teeth chip height" for a small child, or am I missing something?
CallmeGoose (12th September 2017)
The window at the moment does fully open but I will be putting in a latch so that it can only open a certain amount.
She's only 3 so she wont be using the playhouse unsepervised so no risk of her falling onto the wing nut.

Do you sell the stuff you make goose ?
People pay big money for this kind of stuff.
kid might be 3 now but time you finished she be 8 mate hehe ;-)
CallmeGoose (13th September 2017)
Probably.... Have to move out for a month whilst we have some work done on the house and then I'm off back to sea... So that's 2 months down the toilet.
Technically she is 2 years and 5 months but hoping to have it finished by the time she is 3
I don't sell the stuff I make. Just keep it in my man cave. It's hard to make this stuff on a regular basis as I can't get a regular supply of cheap parts

Haha but better to take time and make decent ;-)
Did you see dragons den with those guys making £19,000 seats out of Airoplane turbines. The were saying some of the aircraft parts they pretty much pay you to take them of them. Surely the same must apply to ships?
Well work on this kind of stopped for a while. Turns out there was major structural issues with our house so we had to move house again.... Anyway that's a story for another time. Work has begun again. This decking has been laid. The frame for the floor for the hobbit house laid and a DPC has been put down. Floor is now down. Painted green for the time being but this is only for Preservation and a more decorative flooring is to be put down at a later date. Internal beams have been sanded and painted
Probably won't get around to assembling the hobbit house until the end of Feb as I'm due offshore again but once I'm back it will be time to assemble the parts. Flexible bendy plywood is arriving tomorrow for the curved roof and I already have the fake lawn to go on top...
