Sorry for jumping in....I've been looking at these quite a bit recently and the only thing that put me off of the Jawbone UP3 is that Jawbone are apparently in the shit, hence I didn't want to invest in dead technology.
However, the UP3 seems to fair very well. Particularly as a sleep tracker. I suspect that it was a bit ahead of its time when it was first released and the others are starting to catch up.
Are you still using yours, and if you are then how are you getting along with it?

Customer support at jawbone is dead and mine is tracking 1000s of steps when I am asleep so gave up on it m8

I heard that they weren't paying their bills to the company who did first line support. That plus they ceased manufacturing the devices and have lost staff. Sad really and the people rave about the UP3 in the reviews. Tons of sensors with so much promise and Jawbone have made a bollocks of it.
Have you replaced it with a different device?

No not yet m8 as all my family have jawbone and in my 'team' so very upset about, why what you thinking m8?

I bought the Xiaomi Band which for £15 was pretty good. Basic but good and worked with Google Fit. Sleep tracking wasn't amazing which was the primary reason I got into this in the first place.
I've now gone for the Garmin Vivosmart HR. Having a display is quite nice. Notifications kills the battery. Sleep tracking is a bit shit though.
I hear mixed opinions about the FitBits and a considering a Moto 360 but I'm less interested in the watch and more concerned with sleep tracking primarily, and then Google Fit integration.
I've had it at the back of my mind to pickup a Jawbone cheap but after reading about people's experiences that are similar to yours. Plus that the devices die and Jawbone aren't getting back to people about replacements really puts me off.
I don't want to splurge loads of money on a device. Just after something decent to be honest.

It does sound it to be honest. I think the best thing would be if someone bought them out and then restarted development on the UP3.
I'll do some more digging. Thanks for your feedback mate

I've got an up2 and the strap, which is bonded to the tracker broke. Support got straight back to me when I contacted them, asking for all my purchase details. That was 3 months ago, and nowt since. The tracker is still ok, but the company is fucked, and about to pivot into new products (again), so I would avoid them like a midget would detector. I think a lot more will fall by the wayside in the coming months because there is no margin in the products and not that much adoption really.
