I watched the Lions yesterday and as much as I enjoyed it, I really miss the football during the summer when there's no tournament. The confederations cup and the U21's has been ok, but it's not that competitive and lacking on real drama.
I've high hopes for Leeds, especially now we seem to have an owner in charge with a full set of marbles and who looks willing to invest in the future of the club. And like Mickey, I hope Huddersfield finish with a record low points tally come next May.

I might be in the minority but I really miss standing at a football game. It adds enormously to the atmosphere. I understand why we don't have in this country but I'm sure something could be sorted. With regards to the the actual football, I think the introduction of the Premier League has fucking ruined it. It's been to the detriment of all the home nations, not just England. What's the point of having all the money if we never get the top players in their prime anyway? The sooner the bubble bursts and we go back to developing home grown players, the better. Liverpool had a team of mainly British players that dominated Europe for 10 years. I doubt even England with Gareth Bale would be that competitive in the Champions League. And that's another thing, UEFA sneaking their European Super League in the backdoor in the guise of the Champions League. The first group stage is a fucking joke. But apart from that, yeah, looking forward to the new season!
I stand at all home and away games. Can't remember the last time I sat during a game. I know it's not the same at all clubs.
Bring in rail seats. They are the future
Football is dead on this forum. Has been for some time now.
Shame. There was nothing I liked more than winding up the scouse cun......ahem....I mean Liverpool fans, 'back in the day'.
I am missing footy at the weekend though.
are we doing a fantasy football league this year? if so which one are we looking at, the sky sports or premier league one?
the work place is quiet without a bit of footy banter flying around, all there is to see are the shite football rumours where everyone is signing for someone but it never happens.
Im excited about the season starting too. I think Villa are going all out to get back up this season. The only team that looked convincingly better than us in both games last season was definaly Leeds even including the clubs that went up.
Our first game tomorrow after being relegated from the premiership. We went from a stable mid table team to a steaming pile of turd.
