With all the hype in waiting for GTA i completely forgot about this
Will be interesting to see if it'll make me jump back to IOS as i do miss the build quality of the apple phones
The new iOS 7 has already had it's keynote. I do not think the tech in the 5s or the rumoured 5c colours (with current gen 5 hardware) is hardly going to bring people back. Unless of course the 5c is $99
Personally I will be with Apple for the foreseeable because of the time/money invested in apps and Apple products, but they are not breaking any new ground with the current stuff.
I would be more interested in the proposed game pad and making the Apple TV compete with Sony's Vita TV. Even that statement is wrong.. Sony should be competing with the ATV, but Apple have decided not to do anything with it other than add channels for their own keynotes for the last few years.
Not long in any case.. we will all know in an hour or so and it will be in our faces all day tomorrow. It will be ovious too from reports who is an Android fanboi and who is Apple. The reports in the papers always annoy me either way.
"Will they tackle the battery life issue" - What battery life issue... If you own an iPhone or Android you have it as an extension of one of your hands. You are on it 24/7 and even the mighty S4 has poor performance. Yes your Nokia 3210 lasted for weeks! But your 3210 had Snake which you were hardly on all the time.
I will be getting the next one (5s) as I have had the 4s for far too long now.

We all make mistakes sometimes
Never watched a Apple launch live.
Will they have a live link on there website?
or any idea wheres the best place. Cheers
I think this will be the first announcement since the iPhone 3GS where I won't be posting highlights live here as I won't bother watching in real time. No excitement whatsoever given the leaks and the fact that there are no 'and one more thing...' moments any more. I sincerely hope there will be some surprises but I don't think it's going to happen.

There is no live feed usually, the Gizmodo and Engadget reporters blog live from the event with photos each year, more than good enough
64 bit iphone 5s, nice.
Home button is a fingerprint reader for security
Those gold phones are gonna sell like hot cakes. Nice upgrades as well. Sounds like it be extremely quick. Is it the first 64bit phone?
a7 chip for processing
even though its 64bit it will still run 32bit applications
m7 chip to take care of all motion
not sure what they were saying about the camera something about not increasing the number of pixels but making them bigger?
slow motion video capture so far
ok so fingerprint home button 'touch id'..........i like the fact it has 360 degree readability
fingerprint reader to also eliminate password requests for buying apps
no more swiping to unlock phone or using pin number
no coverage to explain if there will be a secondary way to get into the phone if u r wearing gloves or something like that
iphone 5 no longer supported whatever
5c 13/09 pre order
5s 20/09 pre order
not impressed with the colour options, some leather cases being offered now
Completely by accident, my upgrade is due tomorrow. Depends how quickly three manage to get hold of the 5S as I'd like to try one, 64 bit could be a massive performance boost if the OS and apps use it properly, however I also fancy an Xperia Z.

The prices are up on the Apple website. The 5c isn't actually that much cheaper.
13/09 for 5c and 20/09 for 5s so hopefully voda will have something for the 5s sorted by next week
oh one thing i didnt add in there was battery life............pretty shit if you ask me they have increased battery life standby from 225 to 250 so maybe an hour of normal use to the battery
my only complaint with iOS7 & iPhone 5 is the battery life. I'm pretty much delighted with it otherwise. I know it's still a beta, hoping they've further optimised it in the final release and 5S

The final release is out - build 11A465
Well I say final version - it's the GM seed so we'll see if that matches what gets released in a few days to Joe Public.
Just downloading now to see if they've fixed the iPad bugs as that has been shocking compared to the phone version on the latest versions.
my iphone is telling me there's no update available. What device is that on mate ?
