Advice Kodi with Faulty nVidia Card?

I've got an old laptop with a faulty NVidia graphics chipset (Quadro NVS135M).

Was useless as an actual laptop - even in BIOS/POST it would display random characters all over the place.

However I realised I could install Windows XP or 7 and uninstall the specific NVidia driver and just use the Windows basic VGA driver. I use it as a VOIP server as it was free, slimline so doesn't take up much space, uses little power, doesn't make much noise and effectively has it's own built in UPS (laptop battery).

It works fine like this (I have removed the actual screen so I have no idea what that would display, I always use remote desktop to connect). Just fitted an SSD and done a fresh install of Win 10 this weekend and it runs fine. Only snag is Win 10 seems to like automatically installing the NVidia driver even if I delete it, but then it says the device is stopped as it has an error, but I can still use it fine.

I've never used Kodi before - did a bit of quick reading on it and seems like I need a 3D graphics card that supports Direct X.

Anyone know if I will be able to use this pile of junk to run Kodi?
