Default upvc door handle won't spring up

hi, we have a upvc door at the rear of the house, but the handle won't spring up any more so u can't push the door and have it latch on an close automatically. the door has bolt like latches at multiple points so when you pull the handle up they lock into place.

is there anyway to get the handle to spring back up again, or does this involve replacing the whole door mechanism

    ta

    John

Agree with BBL. If you don't have a local supplier have a look on email there's loads of suppliers.

Mine does a tension spring just to bring the handle back up so the catch latches on when you just push it, the door is about 4 months old since I fitted it.
