Default Windsor hoping for Ross Kemp return

Windsor hoping for Ross Kemp return

    By Daniel Kilkelly, Entertainment Reporter

EastEnders star Barbara Windsor has revealed that she is trying to convince Ross Kemp to make a Walford comeback.

The actress, better known as Peggy Mitchell on the BBC One soap, admitted that she misses working with Kemp, who played her on-screen son Grant.

"I was talking to him the other day and I was speaking to him about EastEnders," Windsor explained at a press event for the show. "I would love him to come back and play Grant again but he's so busy with other projects, in Afghanistan and everything."

Windsor also confirmed that she was thrilled when John Altman agreed to return to his role as Nick Cotton on the programme.

She said: "He is a fantastic actor and such a sweet man."

To be fair, in the last decade or so, when has Eastenders not been scraping the barrel. I'm flabberghasted that people actually still invest half an hour of their day in the garbage.

Congratulations! I'm sure you're reaping the benefits too. I remember when my mother packed Eastenders and Corrie in. Shesaid it was like coming out of a televisual coma. Seriously, in this day and age, with all the options that you have with regards to channels, DVDs, downloads and whatnot, there really is no excuse to watch this turgid crap. It's utter shit and it makes you stupid.

On the day of judgement these program makers will stand in line behind the money lenders, adulterers, hypocrites and politicans.

Yep, I generally have been much more focused in my viewing in recent years, soaps have a knack for remaining in your viewing schedule and it just needs the extra push.
