Well done. Always feels nice to spunk some cash on camera stuff. Got to say though 2 10-20s is a little excessive. :-|

Nice Kit, wish i could afford a decent camera, been after a D-SLR camera for ages, i ended up settling for a Fujufilm FinePix S1000fd 10MP

I know nothing at all about photography but it interests me alot.

Hi, can you actually change the feet on this one? I.e. can you unscrew them or change them for spikes? I've got the MTL8361B and I cannot change them on this one.

I also have my eyes on the MH5001 head, how does it handle with your camera attached?

Thanks for any info on this one...
    Greetings :)

Actually you can and I have bought one set, just to discover I cannot change them . But the distributor is very helpful and I will receive replacement inserts for the model I have as soon as they become available from the manufacturer (with which I was also in contact), a very helpful bunch of people actually. It just will be interesting to see how to remove the glued in ones...

The feet I've bought are FP2021, a set of 3 flat disc feet, meant for soft (sand etc.) or smooth (such as tiles) surfaces. They weren't easy to come by and to my dismay I found out you can change them only on the MT series, not on the MTL series. They are really nice feet and you will find a mention of the feet exchange options only on the Giottos dot com website (its in English).
    Greetings :)

It nearly was, had them from a dealer advertised in an auction but I guess they were a one off. As above, according to the Giottos website they can be replaced on the MT series, they got a 6mm thread with a ball joint on the actual foot, so once you have the "nut" in the foot part of the tripod, it should be very easy to exchange. This was actually another reason why I went for the Giottos. So in the moment I'm playing the waiting game for the promised nut inserts...

BTW, did you have a play with the MH5001 head yet? How does it handle the camera with the heaviest lens attached?

And thanks again for your generous donation
    Greetings :)
