Default Could NATO win a war against Russia?

With escalating tensions between the west and Russia, I believe its only a matter of when not if, war breaks out, on whatever scale that may be.

Could the UK survive such an attack? Especially with the likes of Russia developing the Satan 2 missile?

I would have thought it more likely to be a Cold War. A game of chess e.t.c

TBH I don't think either side would or even could win. The trouble with the Russian state is their iron control of their people through the media. The Russians would "force" their people to accept harsher conditions than the west could ever hope to. Our nations would be up in arms about 000's dead. Maybe a bit of infrastructure not operating at full capacity (lets say power supplies ect) it's not just bombs and bullets that win and loose wars it's also the will of the people....I personally don't think the western nations peoples posses the will power of say a 1940's London for example. So WE would find it tougher as a nation or group of nations....But we would clearly have the military might to "outgun" the Russians...and that's before we even discuss nukes ffs.
Boris Johnston has just again shown what a buffoon he is....I bet our Embassy staff in Moscow must have had a nice warm glow in their bellies when they heard Johnston calling for protests outside the Russian embassy in London.....very very diplomatic......bloody idiot !!

I agree what first class prick, we would be in uproar had any other country call for it's people to demonstrate outside British embassy's and the fucking hypocrisy involved in condemning other countries for bombing and killing civilians coming from the UK and US really is a piss take considering the amount of murder we have both inflicted on civilians round the world over the years both recent and historic in the name of liberation ffs.

I saw the headlines and didn't bother to read the actual article as I assumed it must be media BS/misquoting but I now assume I was sadly wrong, he really is that big of a cunt.

I wonder if this is this another attempt by the media to divert attention from the fact that the first catastrophic effects of Brexit have started to show?

If Trump gets in we might find out. Although this is looking a lot less likely now imho

I would say UK media is more like it is in the US now and should be categorised as propaganda. I don't foresee any war. All I hear is the US and NATO whining like little bitches. Doesn't seem to me the Russians really give much of a fuck. They are vaguely interested in Syria, Kosovo and the Ukraine but not to the point of war with another superpower. If u hear of anything else from the western media about Russia, u can assume it exaggerated or BS.

There was a comment recently about Putin apparently telling the Russians to prepare for war. What he actually said was they are ready for a war should they be started on.

People on oil rigs will be the first targets anyway

Mutually assured destruction has worked and worked well up until now. I don't see any reason why that won't continue. Putin might be a cunt, but he's a shrewd and pragmatic cunt. He no more wants to see the Earth shrouded in a Nuclear winter any more than he wants his private chef dipping his diseased cock in this week's borscht.

The Cold War will likely intensify, especially online, and we'll be back to how it was post WWII, if we're not already. It makes for good headlines and keeps the masses fearful enough to be subservient.

As long as there are imaginary boundaries drawn on the Earth's surface, and we, as a species, buy the myth of nation states, this will continue. But we can change that at any time, if enough of us want to.
