Video preview: Crossing the thin blue line in Battlefield Hardline
Battlefield Hardline pulls players out of the military's theatre of war and puts them in the role as cops and robbers, vying for the biggest stack of cash. In the latest video preview, Editor-in-Chief Ludwig Kietzmann battles for both sides: As an officer in the world's most brutal police force (yikes) and as a criminal on the hunt for his next big score. Developed by Visceral Games – makers of the Dead Space franchise – Battlefield Hardline is coming to the PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 21. EA surprised onlookers at its E3 media briefing, announcing and launching a beta for the game on PC and PS4.

Not really filling me with confidence this is really much of an improvement over BF4 but I guess time will tell......

More like an addon for BF4 :(

I would agree with that, never managed to get into BF4, not sure if this was me not giving it a real chance with all the bugs and issues on release and continuing or it just didn't deliver the sort of game I enjoyed.
Re: Video preview: Crossing the thin blue line in Battlefield Hardline
My son got the Beta for PS4 and TBH not that different from BF4.
But only 1 map and 2 game types, so not a massive choice.
Re: Video preview: Crossing the thin blue line in Battlefield Hardline
I hardly get to play the xbox much. But often put the campaign on. Are a lot of the bugs in multiplayer?
On another subject hope your keeping well bb long time no speak

I'm really not sure how many bugs it has now I don't have it but the first experience seemed to sour the rest of the game as the things they cocked up or didn't have seemed to be the things we most used. On the other subject yeah I'm doing great enjoying the sunshine and on the Xbox One most nights wondering when I will be spoilt for choice on what to play.

You can still sign up for the beta!, going to give it a blast later and tell you what I think!

Re: Video preview: Crossing the thin blue line in Battlefield Hardline
Been playing the beta on PS4, the combat is faster paced than BF4 but it's running on a smaller map at the moment. Plays well but the beta doesn't give much away with limited objectives and gameplay modes. I think someone's watched HEAT too many times though as it feels like watching parts of the movie again and again.
The modes are good at the moment and there's no rubber banding or any problems like BF4 had so you can enjoy the game. Heist mode is probably the best but so far so good, if BF4 played this well most of us would still be playing it. Be interesting to see what game modes they announce to keep it flowing.

Battlefield Hardline beta will come to Xbox One
If you're feeling left out of the current Battlefield Hardline beta, don't be: there'll be a version coming to Xbox ahead of the game's arrival in stores, containing content that's different from the one currently being played on PC and PS4. "We will have a beta on on all platforms before release," DICE's General Manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson confirmed to us during an interview at E3. "But it won't be this beta on Xbox. It's not going to be the same version, just to be clear." He didn't reveal when this would happen or how long it would last, but there's plenty of room to get it out: the game's not out until October 21st. Something around Gamescom, perhaps?

DICE is making a point of getting the game to players early in part to avoid the technical issues that plagued the launch of last year's Battlefield 4. "We basically have code in the hands of players already, here at E3. We've never done that before," said Troedsson. "We do it both because we want their feedback of course, but also because in the background we are testing various things. We're going to continue doing more tests like this."

Not yet but good it will be different from the one currently being played on PC and PS4
Re: Video preview: Crossing the thin blue line in Battlefield Hardline
Different content is good news. Will definitely give a better view of the game as a whole, having played PS4 beta, then a different beta on Xbox One.
Looking forward to it.
