Car Bleep
Is there any way that I could modify my central locking so that it bleeped or made some sort of noise when I lock the car . I drive a focus and it would need to be extremely easy to do coz Im a donut at that sort of thing and removable since its a leased car.

Only thing i can thin of is get a 12v bleeper (like the ones you get with the towing kits) from halfords and find out where the feed to the central looking is in the fuse box and wire it in there. Then when you hand the car back you can simply remove it.

Do you have remote locking on the key that flashes the indicators when turned on ?
if so get a 12v buzzer find the thin black/green or the thin black orange in the loom going into the passanger door connect neg side of buzzer to one of the wires connect the = side of the buzzer to + of 1 of the indicators fuse with no more than a 1amp fuse ( check the buzzer and fuse accordingly)

Cheers for the suggestions guys

How would I go about finding where the feed to the central locking is?
Mike
The indicators do flash when locked with key fob
Would the buzzer not sound when I used that particular indicator if wired like u suggest

if u connect the neg of the buzzer to the lock wire it would only buzz when the door is locked and the indicators on so if you lock yourself in when driving then it would buzz

Maybe its just me, but do you really think a bleep will help? a few weeks down the line you'll be wondering if heard THAT bleep instead of wondering if you locked the car. Leased car? insured? where's the problem? We ALL sit in out houses or lay in our beds and wonder if we remembered to lock the car SOMETIMES! fact remains that whatever means you use to ensure its locked, whether it be visual or audio, you'll STILL become used to it, it'll become second nature and WON'T stand out anymore in a few weeks\months time, so............save yourself the hassle and get into the habit of trying the door handle AFTER you lock the car, OR........get a HUMUNGOUS orange flashing light that stays on as a constant reminder, even from a distance, that its REALLY locked!!!
