Re: 12 months half price Sky.
I've been toying with the idea of Sky but I'm not a VIP. Am I right in thinking that these give half price everything?

I'm curious do sky require you to have a phone line? as I don't have one and have no need to get one.

Re: 12 months half price Sky.
Great offer Realist.
I'd like to ask Sly though, what about us loyal original customers, i've been a subscriber since the beginning and my bill just goes up all the time, it's got to a point now where i'm on the minimal package because their prices are scandalous, be nice if they offered us something as a way of a thank you for our loyalty.
Re: 12 months half price Sky.
But if you had a Hoover vacuum cleaner for 20 years would you then say to Hoover the very same and their prices go up as well.
Sky are a subscription service same as Virgin and BT vision so why us it only Sky people expect a discount or freebies.
All you have to do is give them a call and see what offers are available.
Re: 12 months half price Sky.
I had been on a half price friends and family deal that expired recently and my monthly bill leapt up. I had a £25 for 25 months friends and family code but the offer said it was only for new customers. I phoned up to cancel my package due to the excessive cost, and to see what deal they could offer. They could only reduce my bill by reducing the package so I mentioned that I had the code and he processed it for me. I am now on a better deal than I was originally so am very happy.
It may be worth trying a code as an existing customer. It worked for me.
Re: 12 months half price Sky.
I've had a look and it seems that when you add the Sky Fibre Broadband it takes the discount off and applies a discount to Sky Fibre instead. I think i'm going to change my Virgin Broadband to the 50meg broadband only package at £25 a month, get this at £16 a month and then when my 12 month contract with Sky is up look to see what offers there are. This way i'll still get decent broadband AND all the channels I want for the same £41 a month :)
Perfect Thanks Realist :)
They are coming to install on Friday. Stupid question but the dish needs to go on the back of the house, how do they get the wires over to the front? And i'm guessing that is a two man job but they will normally send 1 person?. Don't want to wait in on Friday and then tell me that they have to come back again.
They still ask for a phone number as well, i've got a Virgin phone but that will be scrapped as soon as Sky is installed.
Re: 12 months half price Sky.
Fair play to Realist.
I don't watch a lot of telly myself. Just the sport. So I have no interest in SKY. But... I wondered how many who turned against him in a different thread, would be back with their hands out when CS kicked the bucket. I will be pointing the finger when I see them. ;)
Anyway... Always better to be the bigger man.
Re: 12 months half price Sky.

Just wondering Realist, are the £25 for 25 months codes still available to staff? Not after one, just want to know
