Grown Ups
It's been a while since I've enjoyed an Adam Sandler film so I approached this one with trepidation. I must admit, it really tickled me. The story is fairly weak, the dialogue mediocre at best, the acting a little mixed but my god have I laughed so much in ages!!! The jokes and funny clips came thick and fast from start to finish and although a fair few were cliche'd and sometimes a little immature, there were plenty of gems to keep you howling.
If you watch this film, do so without an expectation of greatness but just enjoy it for what it is.
Good old silly comedy.

Re: Grown Ups
Thought it was terrible. Great cast and I don't mind Sandler, but I didn't laugh once. It seemed to me like it was purely an excuse for the cast to get together and have a nice time. The chemistry came through, as in they obviously all like and enjoy each other's company but the film is woeful. On that basis, I actually think that it is guilty of one of cinema's biggest cardinal sins which is self indulgence. They may well have had a great time, but the audience didn't. Well, a great deal of it didn't anyway.

Re: Grown Ups
Turned it off after 30 minutes. Fucking shite.

Re: Grown Ups
I tried to watch this film with the missus, but after about half an hour she looked across to me and said 'Mierda?', to which I replied 'sí, mierda'. I think I smiled once, when the fat guy caved in his paddling pool but that was it.

Re: Grown Ups
I'm off the exact same opinion as the OP. Crap storyline, and pretty immature, but damn it was funny. Had me in tears quite a few times. I do like Adam Sandlers immature toilet humour I must admit.
