Report dash cam footage to the police
Forgive me if this is old news but I have only just found this.
You can report dash cam footage and create an incident report using this website by nextbase https://www.nextbase.co.uk/national-...safety-portal/.
There are police forces already signed up to this and using it but some are not officially, although the site does state they are in process of signing up to the service.
Re: Report dash cam footage to the police
I have a funny feeling they may have underestimated the amount of police officers that will be caught out breaking the law :D
Re: Report dash cam footage to the police
And how many people will be reporting shite.
I can see this being a pain in the ass for the police as there will be thousands of posts and reports daily.
Re: Report dash cam footage to the police
They won't do much about the reports anyway. You may recall I posted footage of an Eddie Stobart truck almost wiping us out on the M6 earlier this year. This was reported to Eddie Stobart directly and to Cheshire police (as we were within their jurisdiction). I got the obligatory "we will speak with the driver" response from E.S.
However from Cheshire police, they informed me that, because I submitted the footage over 72 hours AFTER the incident, they would not be taking any action against the driver. I responded by saying that the time it took for me to submit the footage was largely irrelevant because the evidence was still there to see and how does 72 hours help people who may actually be away from home for longer than that?
No response after that so even when they have clear cut evidence of someone driving like a cunt, they don't do anything about it.
