T100 to T108 Upgrade

Was wondering if ne1 has upgraded their T100 to T108 using the software doing the rounds on eBay. If so does it work and is it any good/worth doing. Wanted some feedback before getting it as I don't wanna fook up my fone. Thanx in advance peeps.

Yeah, I've seen these for sale as well. The best thing you can probably do is look at the sellers feedback for the auctions in which they sold it. I would have thought it should work though without messing the phone up (otherwise there wouldn't be all the people selling it).

Hmm I get an error message when I try to enter the Skytronic forum saying 'You need 0 posts to enter'. I have 0 posts, I take it you must be registered. The registration link doesn't work either, I assume they're not taking any new registrations. Anyone else have it to d/l? Thanks in advance

I've upgraded a couple of T100's to T108's. There's not a lot of difference really. You get a few more ringtone spaces and the background pics are different. A couple of things I didn't like were the start up screen saying 'Dual Band' and when you switch off the phone it comes up with a really cheesy 'See You'.:bleh:

You also get a 'built-in answerphone'. I've not tried it yet as I have a concern with this feature. If your answerphone messages go straight to your phone instead of your provider's message centre, what if you are 'out of range' when someone calls you...? Will the message centre kick in? or will the caller not get the chance to leave you a message...? If someone could shed any light, I'll be gratefull.

Also 1 of the peeps selling the upgrade on ebay say that the other sellers who include the downgrade to go back to the t100 are scamming as the d/grade isnt possible

Nope thats wrong m8, I just downgraded mine not 5 minutes ago, all working fine, courtesy of the help from RudeYute :D

Hi all any chance of getting the original t100 firmware sent to me just upgraded the wee sisters t100 and now when she phones someone they cant hear her mine works fine though by the way the provider is orange
