[Desire] Updating my 2.2 leedroid to a newer version
Ive got one of the first fr0y0 hacks onmy desire and have noticed theres some nice updates to this, now Iv'e read a bit of info from a few places and think I have a good understanding of what I need to do, but I want to make sure before I do anything
My main point is, how do I make sure I don't lose my calender entries, text messages and so on, I lost these (or some of them) when I upgraded to 2.2 from stock 2.1.
I remember someone, somewhere saying there was an app that could backup all the apps i'd installed, and I probably have it installed but Im not sure what it was...
I think thats all Im worried about at the moment, so any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers all

Don't restore system data after you've put your nice new rom on or it may cause a few problems.

I thought backing up the system apps was a bad idea, so if i remove system apps from the backup list, how do i guarentee sms and other info is saved when i back up?

There are plenty of free sms backup apps on the market. Contacts can be backed up to a file. Not sure what other stuff you would want to backup other than that other than settings but they only take a few minutes to set up again, it's all part of the fun lol.

Just export your contacts to your Google account and they will be saved forever and auto retrieved after you restore and link your Google account again

Mybackup pro is also pretty handy at doing this.
