iPhone Dev Team to Demonstrate New jailbreak

The iPhone Dev Team has released a new jailbreak demonstrated that allows any iPhone or iPod, iPad jailbreak. It made use of an exploit was found by former Chronic DevTeam Member pod2g.
Previously it was only possible to jailbreak an iPad userland using an exploit. Apple is to fill a userland operates very easy since the leak is in the software. In pod2g's exploits, which bears the name Shatter, is not as easy. Shatter is a boot exploit. This means that Apple does not leak with a software update can close.
It is unclear whether a tethered or untethered is operating. When tethered to exploit the iPad after reboot re gejailbreaked. When untethered, the jailbreak exploit even after a reboot works. There is also a chance the exploit is untethered, but via a software update that Apple still tethered to the operating network.
The video of the demonstration on a jailbreak iPod touch 4G is below to view.

Re: iPhone Dev Team to Demonstrate New jailbreak

Re: iPhone Dev Team to Demonstrate New jailbreak
Lets hope it's out soon, i may finally get some use out of my iPad :)
Re: iPhone Dev Team to Demonstrate New jailbreak
ipad will be like a new machine once 4.x lands for it. At the moment I use mine mainly for mame and sky sports
Re: iPhone Dev Team to Demonstrate New jailbreak
I'm dying to get mame on mine, I must literally have used it for about 3 hours since I got it about 3 weeks ago, it was a bit of an impulse purchase on holiday which serves no purpose atm. And I get so annoyed with using it compared to iOS4 on the iPhone4 too.

i can see nothing on the ios4 on my ipad that I dont have already tbh. For example Backgrounder/Pro Switch is better for multi tasking than the native ios4 multitasking engine is

Multifl0w is far better than proswitcher imho. Well worth a look if you've not tried it. I swear by it on my iPhone 4

I prefer proswitcher as it worked the same as my old Palm pre - which i really liked :)
so as you use multi switching and other goodies - why do you think ios4 will make the ipad a different machine. Did I miss something ?
Re: iPhone Dev Team to Demonstrate New jailbreak
it's not just multitasking. os3.2 is the first iteration of the o/s on the ipad, so ipad os 1.0
The second generation of any system/car/computer/etc is often 'what the original should have been'
Look at the iPhone 3G compared to the original iPhone, also os 1 compared to 2 and 2 compared to 3 for that matter.
There's a ton of fixes/tweaks etc. Mostly small stuff but making the machine much more 'complete' and polished.
