Should I push my luck with an apologetic talktalk?

I've finally got the bunch of cocks to admit they're wrong about a £200 charge and its going to be refunded in a few days, thankfully. The thing is, ive also spent about 40 quid on calls to their useless call centres, as well as having to pay a reconnection fee with another ISP since they disconnected my line which is another £40, and weve lost the phone number we had for the last 15 years. I am in direct communication with their CEO now, so its not like I'd have to go though the usual call centres to get a response, so, should I push for them to cover the additional costs I've incurred while trying to sort this out?

Yes of course, if you are out of pocket through no fault or error on your part I would say it's your duty to try and recover it :)

but of course this goes without saying and if he does refund how will it look for the company? much better than if he snubs you.

Yep. Negligence should be accounted for. They've caused you an inconvenience - make them pay up!

im trying to write an email now but i cant help sounding like im just on the scrounge, anyone good at this?
I want it to sound like I deserve the cash, as I do. Im going to check my call logs before i send anything anyway, so i can present them with the fees since ive been trying to sort out the issues.

Just write up an invoice and send it directly to the CEO's office for his attention. Time spent on the phone, writing emails etc. Plus expenses (with a breakdown). Tell him that you are sending it to make up for time lost due to his company's incompetence.

yes fucking right you should ... and as for losing the phone number tell them they owe you the cost of replacing your business cards, letter heads and flyers and whatnot as they all had your number on.
