Remote Desktop - Windows 10 Upgraded from 7 Ultimate
Any ideas?
I've done it this way loads of times, but Remote Desktop on this one will not work, won't accept incoming connections and it's greyed out.
HELP!
Originally on a Domain, but logged in as Local Admin User when the screenshot taken. Whats Windows upgrade missed - can I remedy it?

I assume a clean/refresh install is a no-go? You can try "sfc /scannow" in an elevated command prompt to run the system file checker which may find an issue.
Could it be a local/domain policy that has disabled it? Have you tried creating a new admin local account on there?
Re: Remote Desktop - Windows 10 Upgraded from 7 Ultimate
Not sure about a local/domain policy. It's enabled on all windows 7 systems and even another windows 10 system I recently setup.
Just made a new admin account and logging in now.
Tried sfc \scannow but was taking an age. Will try again in a mo.
Edit.
New admin account is a no go. Still the same. I figure it's a fuck up during the upgrade process and thinking the only option is a clear install (pita!)

Try gpedit.msc and check Computer Configuration --> Policies -->Administrative Templates --> Windows Components --> Remote Desktop Session Host --> Connections.

Looks like your running version 1703. Lots of peeps complaining about the RDP problem in the creators update. It seems you need to install the remote desktop app from the Windows store to get it working again.

turn windows firewall off
Re: Remote Desktop - Windows 10 Upgraded from 7 Ultimate
Still no go with this particular PC. I've installed 3 more since and all are working fine.
Looks like its a one off and I'm going to have reinstall Windows 10 on it afterall.

Did you test all of the pc's on the same router. If so check your router settings for the IP/Mac of the PC that's having the problem. TCP Port 3389 and UDP port 3389 should be open.
Re: Remote Desktop - Windows 10 Upgraded from 7 Ultimate
They all worked great on Windows 7. All ports correct. It was a simple upgrade to Windows 10 that greyed the option out.
I think it's just a blip, although the other systems are completely identical and I've done nothing different at all. I must admit though, these latest installs were a lot quicker than the original 'test' install.
Just going to bite the bullet and reinstall afresh. It only acts as a workstation anyway as they are served by roaming profiles and AD.
