Windows 8 store and 8.1 upgrade
I've just got a new HP laptop running Windows 8. I want to update to 8.1 via the windows store. I've logged in and the icon is there to update, as well as all the other apps available to purchase. So I click on the update to windows 8.1 and nothing happens. The icon moves slightly, like it has been pressed but it does nothing. Same with all the other icons. I've run the appstore troubleshooter and it changed some settings but it still doesn't do anything. Has anyone else seen anything like this?
Thanks
Re: Windows 8 store and 8.1 upgrade
Run Windows Update manually until completely up to date and then try the 8.1 Update from the store again. A few of the updates are probably missing that are required by the Store.
8.1.1 is also available afterwards. :)
Re: Windows 8 store and 8.1 upgrade
Try taking the updates in pc settings/update and recovery as 8.1 needs certain updates before it will allow to be downloaded.

Yeah as above do windows updates first, I wanted to reset me pc to windows 8 so did a systemreset (search program files for it) then I went to upgrade to win 8.1 but had to do 91 updates first :-0 You would of thought a systemreset would just removed all programs and data not rewind windows as well oh well took all day to get Win 8.1 back on.
