sky digital TV
of i got a question about sky digital TV a mate of mine is going to move out to the 'middle east' he was asking me if he could use his sky dish out there to pick up the programming.
is this possible if so what size dish wold he need
if its not possible what other systems are there out there that he could use to pick up english proggramming

sky digital's satellite footprint wouldn't quite reach that far ;)

We used to have a guy here who was out in Egypt i think and he got it using a 3 metre dish although since then ITV has come onto the platform and they use a smaller footprint so I dont think youll get ITV but the BBC channels should be ok.;)

he has got a dish that he used when he lived in italy he got all the sky stuff fine when he was there

Heres the footprint for Europe , as you can see its a funny shape but 120 Cm dish does the job in most places but the Middle east youll need something huge. Where abouts are you talking about in the middle east m8 ?
