I wonder how many baby cage related deaths there were...... what a crazy idea.... no way would a sane person put trust in that dodgy looking thing

My thoughts exactly.
Re: 40 must see photo's from the past...
God help the happy baby that starts bouncing up and down. And the front wire panel looks as if it is only secured in the middle because you can see a gap at the top and bottom. (">
Re: 40 must see photo's from the past...
The Acid one, there is a 'white' guy in there too.. I am interested to know more about this. Could it be that they he was putting chemicals in and they were used to mix them into the whole pool?
Seems odd that a Hotel owner would do this, odd or extreme!

The demonstrations came to a climax when a group of black and white protesters jumped into the swimming pool at the Monson Motor Lodge. In response to the protest the manager of the motel, James Brock, who was the president of the Florida Hotel & Motel Association, was photographed pouring what he claimed to be muriatic acid into the pool to get the protesters out.[3] Photographs of this, and of a policeman jumping into the pool to arrest them, were broadcast around the world and became some of the most famous images of the entire civil rights movement. The motel and pool were demolished in March 2003, despite five years of protests, thus eliminating one of the nation's important landmarks of the Civil Rights Movement.[11] A Hilton Hotel was built on the site.

That is pretty cruel... I mean, if the oven was on they would overheat and dehydrate! At least move them away from the oven ;)
Re: 40 must see photo's from the past...
So 'muriatic acid' whatever that is, still works in water?

Re: 40 must see photo's from the past...
Doesn't actually seem that bad... Diluting in the amount of water in a pool probably wouldn't do too much.
Uses of Muriatic Acid
Muriatic acid has many commercial and home uses, including:
industrial synthesis of vinyl chloride and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) food additive gelatin production descaling leather processing household cleaning (when diluted) pickling of steel production of inorganic chemical compounds pH control of water, food and drugs regenerating ion exchange resins purification of table salt building construction to dissolve rock in oil production occurs naturally in gastric acid to digest food

Re: 40 must see photo's from the past...
Muriatic, just another name for hydrochloric acid, and when diluted in the pool that much wont be particularly harmful, the nature if the image is what matters though I guess.
The women jumper still looks better than most munters down my local even after splatting from 80 stories.
