Ps2 laser problem ?

Hi, i recently replaced my Jap Ps2 laser n everything worked fine 4 a week, but problem started wen playin in da middle of a dvdr game, da game just froze. rebooted da game but now get some disc read error message :(

weird thing is dat is cud play PS2 back cdr games but not dvdr games :nowords:
also tried adjustin da pot on da laser but no difference :confused:

sounds like it died, unlucky m8. You could try cleaning it but if you've adjusted the DVD pot its probably had it

hm, thought so...might consider buyin a new PS2 or mayb a 2nd hand 1 ? dont like dat JAp Ps2 coz bound 2 hav some sort of bugs and dat latest consoles r pobably much better ?
