Win 10 password cracker ?
Its seems to happen more and more. I get asked to do some work on a pc & they never give me the login password ffs or when they do they fail to write it case sensitive so it still doesn't work.
I used to use Ohpcrack on 7 & vista which worked well tbh, however Ophrack doesn't show it supports Win10.
Any one cracked a win10 password with any successes or has MS finally locked it down. ?
Re: Win 10 password cracker ?
I don't think I have a tool for this yet, afaik pogostick doesn't work nor does konboot etc. It's possible that MSDaRT locksmith would work, can't remember if I've tried it or not though!
Re: Win 10 password cracker ?
I've not need to use a reseter yet but there are a couple of password tools on this winpxe. Lots of other useful tools.

Re: Win 10 password cracker ?
Kind of OT but installed two new PCs this week (Dell Optiplex) and I found that bitlocker was enabled by default on both, the status was set to encrypting. I had to run a command in power shell to decrypt as there was no option to turn it off, perhaps when it completed it would have had the option. Not sure if this is a new windows update and how it will affect password resets/bypasses going forward.

i havent seen that before, hopefully its just while it was encrypting (which would make sense that it wouldnt allow to change it when its doing the change).

It may be unique to Dell systems, I found messages on their forums with others complaining too. Crazy as they didn't prompt for the key to be saved so people could face data loss.
Re: Win 10 password cracker ?
Is ERD Commander still being supported? that used to be a good tool for windows.
