Hey all,
Looking to setup a Domain / Site for a small company (Digger and driver)
Just they want to be found when searching locally
So needing to buy them a domain and hosting company
Just wondering what providers you are using these days for hosting / domain name

was looking at the word press stuff but never used it as i am old school, note pad and HTML code but wanting something more up to date and manageable
Lots of companies around that do ready made sites you just add the txt and away you go.

you can get a site made up fairly cheaply and i personally cannot fault these guys for hosting I am not linked or affiliated to them in anyway, just an idiot that left them for more expensive hosts thinking they were better and ended up coming back as they are great.

Wordpress is pretty easy if you have a few hours to spare and want basic stuff, very customisable. If you just need to host one site then I tend to use 123-reg but no doubt there are better out there. If hosting a few I think Hostgator is supposed to be very hard to beat on price.
There are a few hosting companies that already offer ready to use website builder which has a drag and drop option and is easy for beginners to use. The site builder already has some free ready made templates that you can choose and you just edit the contents and replace it with your own. The most important to look for a hosting company though is the 24/7 support as when you get stuck you can always contact them all the time.
Use WordPress it'll be easier in the long run.Quote:
