2 Way VPN Sharing.
I have access to a Server via VPN. Everything is setup perfectly using QuickVPN from Cisco and once connected, the server does as it should. I can access it's shares on my PC and map network drives etc. All works great...
But what I want to do - if it's even possible - is do it the other way round. I've a network share on the PC I connect with, I want to make available to the server locally over VPN.
Am I looking at creating a tunnel (how do I do that?), I'm not too worried about security, it's not like any of the information being transferred is valuable or secret.
I just want to access the files on my PC via the Server's VPN whenever I'm logged on, without making it publicly available using my public IP Address.
Any pointer? I know a few of you quiet lot on here know about this shit... help a fella out. What am I doing wrong?

Re: 2 Way VPN Sharing.
Why not set up two routers with a site to site vpn? That way the two can always be linked to each other securely and you can easily set static ip's on each end to allow you to access the devices over the tunnel.

Re: 2 Way VPN Sharing.
The router at the server end is a Cisco RW220 and has a static IP. My end is a bog standard BT Infinity HH4, but I have a Dynamic DNS Address.
Opening up ports and the like, I can access my files by \\myaddress.com\myshare and I could password it, but thought this was a bit dodgy.
Is it not so easy by VPN without a site to site setup? I only really want/need it connected when the VPN is active. Not needed 24/7.
I thought a VPN connection would assign me a new IP address that the server could use/ping the client with, but it doesn't seem to be the case. I'm new to this if you hadn't noticed. :D

Re: 2 Way VPN Sharing.
With ipconfig /all from a command prompt you should be able to see what IP addresses you get. Then try to connect from the server to that ip you got on VPN interface.
