Drive showing incorrect usage - or missing data.
Picture speaks a thousand words - also note Hidden Files are shown.
Where is my 135Gb's of Data this Drive appears to be hiding?
Thinking it needs a format, but want to make sure this 135GB is not important stuff... any ideas?!
I've moved ALL visible files off ready for formatting, but 135GB is a lot to lose if it's my bedroom antics photographs with the wife or the like.
Got GetDataBack, but think it's going to find the stuff I had on it before moving it off rather the files it's concealed from sight first, so want to know what the hell is using up 135GB without showing itself.
--EDIT
Error checked the drive. No faults.
Re: Drive showing incorrect usage - or missing data.
I guess youve already enabled hidden files and not to hide protected system files in folder options? Windirstat is a utility I use a lot to work out where space is being used but once I used it and it failed to find a lot of stuff, I found an alternative (can't recall the name I'm afraid!) and that found all the stuff windirstat didn't. This was on a WHS2011 system and the files were shadow copies IIRC.
Re: Drive showing incorrect usage - or missing data.
Spot on Evil! That's really helped loads!
found.000 folder has loads of very missing files i was looking for and one happens to be my shared camera roll with every photo taken on my phone over the passed 4 years! Close call.
Granted some of it might be lost, but least i didnt wipe it out and have to try to surface recover it at a later date!! :)

Was it TreeSize? I'm a big fan of WinDirStat, hasn't failed me yet at least.

It could well be, I probably found it on alternative.to which is a good site for finding alternatives on other platforms or the same. DiskInventoryX is good for macOS for example.
Re: Drive showing incorrect usage - or missing data.
I use Treesize quite a lot for this sort of stuff.
