Just remembered buying from here : https://bitbargain.co.uk/
They are better/cheaper for smaller amounts e.g. £10s, or £100s
For over a grand use elsewhere.
From memory I used Bitpanda for larger amounts or Maybe Cobinhood. My memory is terrible and a recent PC format made it difficult as I haven't restored everything yet.
For any thinking of investing in TRX.
Consider this. It had a high of 2247 sats about 6 months ago ( I do everything in BTC satoshis for good reason )
It is currently hovering around 500 sats ( up and down )
It has a LOT of announcements this year and main net is launching and leaving its current ERC20 based token within 2 months to its own unique block chain.
It is faster and cheaper (tx costs) to use than others.
It has plans to decentralize the internet (I will wait to see how this pans out)
It has the most hype and currently the most traded volume across the biggest exchanges of any other ALT coin.. It has even been traded with more volume than ETH and XMR recently...
IMHO a boom is coming.
Do your own research but I am in.
I don't always believe in what will be a massive success. Sometimes I look at what will make me money. Undecided about TRON but swaying to major success.
At least I am confident I will profit. Already have tbh
I know piggzy hates them, but for ease, Coinbase is straightforward:
- Sign up with Coinbase and get a free $10 https://www.coinbase.com/
- Using Coinbase you deposit your £ in exchange for crypto - as piggzy pointed out, i would buy either Eth or LTC.
You then need to move your crypto to an exchange, again i find Binance very easy to use and they have TRX:
- Sign up with Binance - https://www.binance.com (50% off trading fees)
Then you send your Eth/LTC from Coinbase to Binance (using Binance you will see the deposit wallet address, so make sure you send from Coinbase to the correct address).
Easy!
I've recently installed the Litecoin official wallet and transferred everything I had from everywhere and put it there.
What is the difference between storing here rather than an online exchange? Much? I've not decided which to go with yet, although Litecoin is reasonable for buying at the moment.
Over the passed few months, I'm down but not by loads. I don't appear to have enough time in the day to keep a close eye on the trends.

By keeping your coins on an exchange, you do not own the private keys. Therefore your coins are at risk if the exchange is hacked etc. Moving them to your own wallet means they are safer.
So move them if you intend to hodl, but no good moving if you intend to trade.
