Just bought an old car which is CAT C.
I have insured myself for it fully comp, and it has an MOT until September. That's all I have at the moment, and need to tax it on the 1st June.
What do I need, or can I not get it taxed?

You need to get the logvook (V5) from DVLA. If the car has hasn't been back on the road since it was written off, it would need a VIC check in order to get the V5.
I have a VIC check Pass Certificate which has the REG number written on it from DVLA/VOSA as well. Is there not a form I can get from the Post Office?

you need to contact the dvla as you will need a V11 (renewal letter) or a V5C (the log book). you should have the log book for when you got the car. you can then go to here https://www.gov.uk/tax-disc and renew it online. But as you have just got the car you will probably need to ring them and make sure the car is in your name so the tax disc goes to the right place.
if you havent got the log book then see here http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/wales/...re_missing.htm
