S5 going abroad
Evening gents
I am going to Spain tomorrow and just wondered what are the best methods of stopping being charged a fortune for overseas data? I dont want to switch off mobile data but any preventative measures would be appreciated.
Phone is a Galaxy S5.

Re: S5 going abroad
Depends on your network - I'm with 3 and sometimes use their Europass £5 a day for 24 hours unlimited roaming data (runs from midnight to midnight)

Left it a bit late, but i usually check out the best PAYG deals for where we go and swap the sim out. Tell mates/family to use WhatsApp instead of texting to get hold of me.

Re: S5 going abroad
Im on EE and the calls and texts arent a problem. I have 100meg daily bundles but dont really want my apps and background apps using my allocated data allowance.

Re: S5 going abroad
im on ee and have S5.......just been to benidorm with the lads, EE ius actually quite good, they wont physically allow you to eat up data, it warns you and then actually disables it, so you dont have to do anything really, what it does do is send you a txt saying click on this link if you want to buy 100mb or 200mb (Cant remember) of data that lasts 24 hours and thats only 3 quid... so as I was only therte for 3 days thats what I did and everything just functioned as normal.
