Re: Is this site any good ?
My advice would be although I doubt it will be taken:
- Start again as it's pointless not having control of you're own domain and content.
- Change the URL it's too long
Re: Is this site any good ?
I think it looks pretty good. Gets all the correct info across and is fairly well presented but I don't like the idea of Yell running it.
I use townpages to buy phrases for our business as they offer a fixed cost campaign and guarantee high (first page) rankings. 95% of the time we are in the top 3 listings. You can also beat them down on price too. Drop me a pm if you want the contact details for the guy who runs our account.
Re: Is this site any good ?
I'd echo what BB said above. Shift it away from Yell and change the domain name. Although I suspect Yell will want to charge her for releasing it.
As regards getting higher in the Google listings. Either pay a reputable SEO company to do some work on the site or do lots of reading at sites like:

Re: Is this site any good ?
Id get it away from Yell too, Maybe try recreating it on Wordpress or a redesign. This way she can still have all the info there and then update the website whenever she wants with things like photos of beauty treatments she has done, I think she would get more business from the site with up to date examples of work.
Re: Is this site any good ?
id echo other peoples comments too.
a large domain name is a big putoff for anyone. you need something small and catchy like arsetan.co.uk or similar (you get my idea)
and you deffo need full control of what you own.

Re: Is this site any good ?
getting good google listings and rankings simply takes time, there is no quick solution and seo can only do so much and i would not place all your cards into seo.
you need organic traffic activley searching for your products and there are many ways to do this. i recently set up a skip review website for the local firms and its taken about 6 months for me to get number 1 on most local searches for skip hire companies. in that 6 months ive spent a lot of time submitting the site to directories and search engines, ive researched content and pushed it as best as i can. the result is number one in all search results in my local area.
my advice is do what czar said and read up on ways to advertise your business and start implimenting each and every one, you only get better with experience.

Advertising 'Thai Facials' might be a bit misleading and attract the wrong type of clientele :whistling
