have a search on the forum mate, im sure someone sent their phone to one of these places and they were offered alot less than they were told they would get (saying phone wasnt in excellent condition even tho apparently it was) and then when you ask for the phone back saying you dont want to sell it for that money you have to pay around £10 just for the pleasure of getting it sent back to you
yeah that was me nothing but trouble with these. i would reccomend fonebank never had trouble with these (even when i sent a water damaged 5800). but stear well clear of these
My advise would be not to use them. I had problems with them originally offered me £142 for my old 3g iphone but when they got it they fabricated some faults and only offered me £110. They then try stiffing you saying that it'll cost you to get your phone back. I phoned them and had a right go at the guy on the other end and after several increases of money they eventually gave me £140. Theres a massive thread on marti lewis's site with horror stories from them. Think the general opinion on here is that mazumba are pretty good.
http://www.mazumamobile.com are offering £123.
I dont know if i can be arsed with these type of companys. may just sell on ebay (seems less hassle)
my advice from knowing the owners and using them over the 12 years
Fonebank
Mazuma
RPC
Mopay
i would stick with ebay mate, only problem is the bloody fee's they charge now, dont forget the charges from paypal too
Can give thumbs up to Mazuma, when I have used them for my old phones I have always sent Special Delivery 1 day and the next day receive email saying they had the phones and cheque had been sent out and got it in the post the next day :great:
I sold 7 phones to Mazuma. Bank transfer is exceptionally quick and they do not question. Of course if you sold them a battered piece of shite that wasn't working and told them it was, they'd question it but so long as you sell it as it is, package it very securely and padded nicely, no problems.
I sold a HTC Touch Diamond to them for £180 which I got completely free from Orange. It was just under 12 months old... Smiley Face on me for sure :D
how long do Mazuma normally take to pay?
Think im gonna order the Iphone 4 today but i dont want to be outta pocket for to long because the money i get from this is paying for the starting cost of the iphone
