S3 dying fast. What phone next
I'm a stubbon git,
Phone history, the Sumsung P3000 since release in UK until 2.5 years ago (still got the little gem), then to the S3. I am on a sim only plan I dont like HTC, had a company phone and better half always has them. Windows phones look ok, but not a fan of anythign MS unless I have to. I am an iHater after using Mac's and having iPhones for a good few working years. Hate the Apple lock down.
So, this leaves very few options, I was looking at the Note4, but unlocked its pricey, so wondering if a new Note3 would be fine as so far 3G is ok for me, not sure if I want to push for a 4G ready phone. Really like the Note Curve thingy, so wondering if this will result in the Note4 standard dropping in price very soon?
I was thinking Sony Experia, but brother and two work friends hate them.
Criteria.
Large screen
Good picutre quality
Use it for Games, Browsing, Video and social media.
Very little as a phone but would need this as an option.
Cant justify the current price of a Note4, but no price range in mind.
S3 has offered a 30 month life span, on second battery and now, generally, phone struggling. Do all phones now have this kind of life span?
Thanks in advance for any pointers to things I have not considered.
Cheers.....Q

What do you want for the s3 bud ?
Re: S3 dying fast. What phone next
Well, why not have a look at LG then? I've just bought a g3 to test out and have fell in love with the thing, there's also the g2 & if you're not bothered about new you can grab a mint condition device from eBay for £150(ish). I've read that people have been rooting them and running the g3 firmware on them with no issues at all, only downside is there's no microsd slot

Nice thought, not even had LG on my radar.
Cheers.

My son has the LG G3. Fantastic phone for the money, arguably better than my HTC M8, especially over on eBuyer.

My issue currently is the price. If it would last, i can justify it, but if i am going to struggle two years on, then I cant make that add up in my head.

Will be selling mine in October and getting the Note5
Re: S3 dying fast. What phone next
My S3 wont last that long, but, peding on my choice, I will keep an eye on the selling Forum.
Is the 5, the one with the round edged screen?Q

Think they will do an edge version similar to the S6 which has the curved edges to the screen.
Re: S3 dying fast. What phone next
I've been looking at the edge. The Note Edge, this is way above what I want to pay, but I was thinking, I might get this and sell it a year after moving up to next model. I have a relative in Asia and I am looking at about £510, but then I see many eBay stores with damn near perfect rep, just selling phones, UK based (so no tax) and a returns with manufactures warranty for £530-560. While I am blowing my budget, I am struggling to find a reason if I do get it, why not getting it from a UK source. There are plenty of eBay stores selling same price but rightfully so, stating import duty is liable.
My issue is I have fallen in love, but might I get a good price in a year (my 2.5 year old Siii is like new in outside condition).
