One option would be to place it externally though - someone posted up on here that I think it was Xecuter are doing a faceplate so you can connect a SATA disk from externally - not sure if anyone's tried a 1TB yet?

The one I posted is 7200rpm with 16mb cache. It can also be used in a PS3 as it runs cooler than most 5400rpm drives.

5400 rpm is in general recommended for PS3 as you obviously know but 140 gig difference in size for practically the same price is a no brainer for me..
