PirateBay Down Worldwide.....
The Pirate Bay Goes Down Worldwide
The Pirate Bay is suffering worldwide downtime today, most likely due to technical issues. The problem appears to be a little more widespread than usual as several other torrent related websites are down too, including EZTV, Torrage and the Istole tracker.

The Pirate Bay is down at the moment, which is a cause for concern among many BitTorrent users.
Those wondering whether their ISP has started to block access to the site can be reassured though, as the site is down globally.
Every time TPB becomes unresponsive threads appear on Reddit and other discussion forums as people start to worry that something awful has happened to their beloved site. To users’ relief, however, this is usually not the case.
That being said, today’s issues are a little more widespread. In addition to The Pirate Bay, other torrent related sites such as EZTV, Zoink, Torrage and the Istole tracker are down too. This suggests that there’s a broader technical issue at play.
Pirate Bay, EZTV, and others have had simultaneous downtime in the past. On one occasion the problems were caused by a power failure.
TF contacted the people behind The Pirate Bay and other affected sites to find out more about the current downtime, but we have yet to hear back.
Update: The problems seem to be more serious, more news in a few minutes.

Re: PirateBay Down Worldwide.....
(Summary of a little discussion on Reddit)
People are now using the google cached versions of tpb pages to download cached torrents from google instead.
Funny thing is in tpb's court case, they specifically argued the point that all they were doing was legally indexing like for example google.
(Time to put my thinking cap on)
So if someone in Sweden was to prosecute Google for allowing the same thing as tpb were convicted of, but intentionally gave minimal resources to their legal team, I'm guessing it would be fairly obvious Google would win. Would this then set a precedent to create a path for virtually a guaranteed successful appeal by tpb?

Money/corruption tends to trump the law/common sense unfortunately.

That it does!
Re: PirateBay Down Worldwide.....
I give it about a week before it starts popping back up properly.
Re: PirateBay Down Worldwide.....
For those still needing to find those public tracked Magent links. Try searching for glodls.
All the new stuff still being added to the trackers, just TPB not able to index it at the moment.

Limetorrents is another - but is actually on the list to be blocked.
Still accessible at the moment on BT.

I love the Pirate Bay's couldn't give a fuck attitude.
Re: PirateBay Down Worldwide.....
Long live TPB! 4 days left and it's still unblocked due to a new court case required to blacklist the new IP. :D

Absolutely love this tune. Really made my day.
Re: PirateBay Down Worldwide.....
I had a look at TPB recently via come.in and all the links redirected to weird sites and tried to download an exe, couldn't see any magnets. Is this a problem with come.in only? I do t really use them but can be handy to find old software that I have a licence for but no media.
Re: PirateBay Down Worldwide.....
TPB has been down for months.
The Old Pirate Bay was resurrected by IOSHunt, but as you have found out, all Magnets or links lead off to adverts or Malware programs... 4 more days! Whoop.
I've been using Limetorrents and KickAss.so since the TPB melt down.
Re: PirateBay Down Worldwide.....
I thought the point of Openbay was the fact there is no central server to be taken down but TPB lived on. Do you know why ISOhunt replaced all links with malware? They were always a good site in their own right, seems odd they would do that to visitors.
I had a Bitsoup invite from someone on here but my account disappeared shortly after using it, no idea why, could be as I didn't use it but it was only active for a month or two if not weeks.
Re: PirateBay Down Worldwide.....
Why would anyone use a public tracker without https?
theres only a few trackers I use and there's rarely anything I have problems getting between them and nzb's
it was me who invited you buddy but it got deleted with no use by the system after a few weeks.
you weren't the only one I sent out 7 in total and only one is being used.
Re: PirateBay Down Worldwide.....
Ahh fair play, I just wanted a private tracker for the rare moments I look to torrents, I thought they would just be on the lookout for leeches.
Re: PirateBay Down Worldwide.....
extratorrent.to is reasonable.
Re: PirateBay Down Worldwide.....
Looks like it's back up and running again at https://thepiratebay.se/
It's been missed, that's for sure
