2 Bugs & a series of birds:
Here are a few from a quick visit to Brockholes Nature Reserve at Preston on Wednesday - not as good as some birding togs might get, but I was quite pleased to even photograph the whitethroat up here round Preston. And, I know it's reasonably small in the frame, but I like it that way as it gives a good indication of it's size in the branches of a (I think) a hazel tree. Plus a scorpion fly and butterfly - haven't ID'd that one yet...

An awesome set of shots mate. Envious about the scorpion fly. :)
Re: 2 Bugs & a series of birds:
Thanks Ian. :)
I only had the one lens with me when I went - the Sigma 150-500. Had I taken all my kit, or at least the 100mm, I would have had a field day - I saw dozens of damsels and shed loads of other flying insects...

Coots! My favourite ducks. So sweet to see one building its home.
The finch shot has something special about it.

Thanks for looking m8 - I too think the goldfinch is fair good. :)
