WDTV Live hub, what next?
I have been using the WDTV 1TB live hub for a few years now.
The device has been fantastic, i have shows on the hub, an external harddrive and connected to my LAN. However, the device is getting on a bit and was wondering what i can replace it with.
What would you recommend?

Amazon firestick mate ;)
add plex and kodi with loads of different apps available.
run a plex server from your pc for all your media.
Re: WDTV Live hub, what next?
I had the WDTV hub and running a network hardrive. I have the Nvidia shield running now, it has Plex on it but I prefer Archos media player running with the hardrive.
Re: WDTV Live hub, what next?
My internet connection isn't the best (live out in the sticks) wi-fi has dead spots all over and the system runs from my router (upstairs) through homeplugs (downstairs).
So streaming is a non-starter and was hoping for other devices such as the WDTV, popcorn etc, but the more up to date ones!
Re: WDTV Live hub, what next?
I have two wdtv boxes and to be honest they haven’t been used since I bought them.
I was really let down by the lack of apps and useability.
I had a network drive setup for media but plex has far superceeded the whole media sharing aspect.
We have an Apple TV box too but that has no use either although you can add plex to it I believe?
Even used an acer revo for a while but it was all just too much hassle.

The WD Live box is excellent, mostly for their ease of use. The mrs/kids switch on the box and just need to scroll though the library, no stuttering or lost connections as the movies are either on the box or an external HDD.
