2016 seemed the most fucked up year I can think of in recent history for the planet as a whole.

Earth quakes, mass murder, ISIS, Brexit, Boko Haram, Trump, North Korea, Politics, Tsunamis, Planes crashing left and right, economies collapsing, Russia, Snowden, Assange, I could go on.

What do you think was the most defining fuck up of 2016 ??

Or do you disagree, am I forgetting another fuck up that time has forgiven ??

2017 May not be much better as it may just be a stagnant year to fix 2016!!

I thought 2001 was pretty fucked up, being a harbinger of much of the misery in the Middle East we have seen in the last decade or so and its spillover into Europe.

It does make me think people should stop moaning about things like Brexit and go spend a week in Syria or North Africa, that is real suffering.. not because you might be £90 a year worse off.

Syria was as much a result of climate change as anything else. That should be our biggest concern for 2017 and all years after that. There will be much more displacement of populations around the globe, mainly in the poorer nations. And those people will need to move somewhere, and it's only fair that we in the industrialised nations, who have largely caused the climate change, to share that burden.

I think 2017 will be the year "they" take back control, After all the "people" took back control in 2016 didn't they ? TBH I like im sure most of us who pay even a passing interest in global issues will be watching in awe this year as to what a D Trump presidency actually looks like. I think I have gone from alarmed to a sort of detached viewer who just can't wait for the next episode. That does not even touch on our own home grown elephant in the room.

There will be much more displacement of populations around the globe, mainly in the poorer nations.

I have a feeling things will get a LOT worse for some of the Central or Northern African countries and states and a lot of displacement coming from there.

I look at it this way, I'm alive good health good living forget the shit that goes on in the world cos more often than not you have little or no say in how it can be changed.
Think of those closest keep them safe and fuck the world around you trying its best to bring your life down.
